Take me out to the Ball Game…..

Bonjour Chloe Amour Fans and Friends!

Last night on May. 26th was my very first LA Dodgers Game!  I was super stoked to be attending and of course with the hopes of the LA Dodgers winning.  I made the exception of last night to drink beers and eat hot dogs as a remember-able tradition of baseball games.  In California I do find myself cutting back on my beer intake and trying to eat a little bit healthier day by day.  In my opinion, I was in a fuck it mood when it came to a diet at last night’s game.  To my surprise they were selling Micheladas at the Dodgers Stadium and I had not had one in over two years since back when I lived in Texas.  Already walking through the front gate was I thrilled and it brought back memories of when I used to go to the San Antonio Missions or Corpus Christi Hooks games as a kid.  These were minor leagues of course but I was so happy to be so close to field, with bright lights, eating junk food and hearing the cracks of home runs.  My very first major league game that I attended was the San Francisco Giants game at 19.  Somehow a best friend of mine and I were still able to sneak beers and were ecstatic to be cheering the SF Team.  Now since this was a few years ago,  I can’t remember or tell you who won or who they were playing against.  This now would be my second major league baseball game attendance.  So to get back to the point, more importantly though was last night’s game.

The LA Dodgers were playing the Atlanta Braves.  The first 3 innings were kind of slow, no home runs yet.  To preoccupy my time, I paid close attention to the pitchers and hitters when it was the Dodgers turn.  As well I had my first Dodger Dog (yum-weiners), indulged in Garlic Fries and again to my surprise the stadium sold Dos XX.  I remembered when I first moved to cali, people would look at me like: what is Dos XX? (In Texas this is a very popular beer).  Before either of the teams were in the lead, I was already having the time of my life.  I didn’t get the chance to eat peanuts and cracker jack as I was filling up on the brewskies but I chimed in on the song: “Take me out to the ball game.  Take me out with the crowd.  Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks.  I don’t care if I never get back…”  (You know the rest)

The highlights of my night was when Adrian Gonzalez hit the first home run!  For those you who don’t know me, I am partial Latina.  So of course I got to root for my latinos and was thinking hell yeah, you go boy!  Everyone stands up and starts cheering and giving each other high fives and hugs, it was insane.  Even through out the game, when there was foul balls being thrown in the stands; there was a group of 4 guy friends sitting a couple of rows in front of me, who were fighting for the ball; so much that they even spilled each others full beers.  It was hilarious and a sight to see.  From then on, the LA Dodgers continued to succeed.  Homerun after homerun and Clayton Kershaw striking the Braves out.  The Dodgers one 0-8.  Go Dodgers!

After a long night,  I didn’t end up posting any pictures or tweets because I wanted to save this for the launch of my blog.  I will mention being in the limelight can be crazy.  I got a little star struck when they showed George Lopez on the screen at the game.  That would of been so nuts if I had gotten the chance to sit near or meet him.  As funny as that is,  I checked my instagram notifications when I get home after the game.  No matter what I’m wearing or how minimal makeup I have on in public, somehow myself was recognized as well.  I want to give a shout out to @zaya_g310 to for having the courage to comment me if they saw me at the game.  Of course I replied “yes!”   I had a wonderful time at my first Dodgers game and cannot wait to go back to many more.  As well,  I want fans to know that I am approachable and I appreciate them so much.  I love you, I love LA and so happy to be living the dream.  If you ever find yourself recognizing me or someone you love,  Don’t be afraid to say hi.  The best you can do is try and see what happens. 😉  My fans is what I live for, without you, I would be nothing.
